Blackhawks Recall Jeremy Morin From Rockford
The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Jeremy Morin from Rockford on Friday.
Morin was considered to be a lock for the opening day roster during the preseason, playing so well that he was on one of the top lines with Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp.
He was considered to be a salary cap casualty with the Blackhawks needing to keep Nick Leddy on the roster due to the injury to Brian Campbell.
In eight games with Rockford this season, Morin has registered 4 points (3 goals and 1 assist) with all goals coming on the power play.
He could be a spark in the Blackhawks’ offense, which just hasn’t seemed to have enough to win some games.
Morin will be eligible to face his old team, the Atlanta Thrashers, on Saturday.
