Chicago Blackhawks Sign Brandon Pirri
The Chicago Blackhawks have come to terms with 2009 draft pick Brandon Pirri on a three year entry level contract.
The 19 year old led all first year players in the Eastern College Athletic Conference with 43 points (11 goals, 32 assists) in 39 games during the 2009-2010 season.
Pirri is a decent sized center that is said to have good scoring skills and equally as good play making skills. He is leaving Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and foregoing this last three years of college eligibility so that he could turn pro.
